I work at the intersection of arts management and dramaturgy, creating bridges between artistic vision, audiences, and cultural institutions. Currently, I serve as dramaturg and Head of Communications and Marketing at the Brüder Grimm Festspiele in Hanau, Germany, where I help shape artistic content and ensure its resonance beyond the stage.
Alongside my management and dramaturgical work, I am a visiting professor at Ghent University’s Department of Art History, Musicology and Theatre Studies. My academic background includes Philosophy (University of Antwerp, 2007) and Theatre & Film Studies (University of Antwerp and Free University of Berlin) and a PhD from Ghent University (2016).
At the intersection of artistic creation and strategic management, I work daily with authors and directors as a dramaturg, ensuring that their stage works shine at their fullest potential.
In my role as Head of Communications and Marketing, I lead my team with energy and respect, fostering collaboration and creativity rather than top-down management. I know how to inspire and guide a team, balancing structure with flexibility to achieve ambitious goals.
I also have a deep passion for communication always grounded in artistic vision and insight. This allows me to develop innovative external communications across press and social media, design marketing campaigns that redefine theater and cultural institutions, and engage new audiences in meaningful, tailor-made ways.
Communication, for me, extends to visual identity. I am not afraid to lead full-scale makeovers, always pushing for innovation while ensuring clarity, coherence, and usability both online and in the theater. I leverage the latest digital tools to bring theater into today s world, making it accessible, engaging, and memorable.
Effective communication also means building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders sponsors, patrons, and partner institutions. I approach these connections with loyalty, constructiveness, and professionalism, ensuring that artistic vision and institutional goals move forward together.
I welcome inquiries about arts management projects, dramaturgical collaborations, and cultural initiatives, as well as invitations to contribute to research or teaching.
