“Fire brigades in the Nazi era” is a nationwide project that offers volunteer fire brigades throughout Germany the opportunity to come to terms with the history of their own fire service at the time of National Socialism. The project took place in Mannheim (2020), Marburg (2021), Dömitz (2021) and Schwedt (2022).
Cooperation partners are the German Fire Brigade Museum in Fulda, the German Fire Brigade Association and the Justus-Liebig-University in Giessen. The project is funded by the Federal Ministry of the Interior and Homeland.
Responsibilties:
- Organization and coordination of the exhibition
- Advice on the presentation of the content
- Creation of interactive installations
